Win the RACE: ON YOUR TRACK!

To some people the world is desolate, dull and empty; to another, the same world looks rich, interesting and full of meaning. Here comes the year we have all been waiting for. Welcome to the YEAR 2012!

There is no better time to examine how we see the year’s potentials as individuals and corporate organizations. Right NOW is the most important time of the year. The time some celebrate, jubilate and make more projections while others look back feeling dejected, sad, lonely and defeated. What time is it on your side?

In itself, the journey through the year 2012 may not be completely different from the previous years. We all know that what differentiate a new year from the previous ones are majorly the things we do – events, happenings, associations, interactions and relationships. Really, some say “It’s no big deal…” But what do you THINK?

Of course, at a time like this, “What are your new year resolutions?” is the common question people ask all over the world. Interestingly, we find it very easy to mention so many things we wish to see happen in our lives as we journey through the year. Unfortunately, though, some look back at the end of the year and realize the resolution eventually turned to an illusion.

What then is the journey through a year all about? Is it actually about sleeping in the night, waking up and going out to our various business locations and schools? No, is it about setting goals, writing them down and “sticking” to them, as we are often taught by life coaches and personal development experts? No doubt, this calls for critical examination!

Most people have trouble with the FUTURE because it arrives before they are ready for it. This RACE is not different! While we are all busy making plans and projections about the New Year, there is one thing we mostly forget to include in our plans… dealing with PROCRASTINATION! The reason most people don’t go very far in life is because they sidestep opportunity and shake hands with procrastination.

The exceptional CODE of SUCCESS in this year 2012 can be summarized in one word… ACTION! The door of opportunity won’t open unless you PUSH IT. This is not the year to sit back and take what comes; it is the year to go after what you want. It’s the year to promote EXCELLENCE and PRODUCTIVITY, and say NO to mediocrity, laziness and idleness. You could be the light of the world but no one will know and believe you until you turn your switch on… Take ACTION!

Plan to spend more time with Optimists. I agree with Winston Churchill when he said, “I am an optimist. It does not seem too much use being anything else”.  If you must win this RACE, you have to be mindful of YOUR TRACK. Develop your SKILL & raise your BAR! Leverage on helpful principles and learn from the experts. Above all, assign yourself to the purpose of making others HAPPY and SUCCESSFUL.
