A CRITICAL FACTOR: HAVE AN END IN MIND

Only few people start a plan, programme or voyage without the quest for the time it will come to an end. The sure reason for this may vary from one individual to another, but generally, it is pronounced in the joy that comes with the feeling of adding another star to our walls of achievement in life.

Sincerely, have you ever taken a moment to think about where life itself really ends? No, hold on… just a moment to have a heart-to-heart talk: ‘where does it really end?’

December 2013, just like yesterday, is here and we are about to leave it behind. Well, of course, some are celebrating while others count their loses. ‘Irony of life’ you may want to call it.

Do you think you could have done a thing better if you’d had this opportunity to see the end of 2013 before you started in January? Perhaps it won’t make any difference. Or maybe it would. Hmmm…

Do you ever take a moment to think about the possibility of being one of those who only live in the memory of others and dreams, those who will no longer enjoy the privilege of travelling upon the sand of time anymore? Yes, got the message… Dead, they left all they‘ve got behind!

Believe me, friend, I think life is a gift and we are both privileged to still have it, right now. Imagine coming from the land of the dead… What would you do better if you just got another chance to wake up among the living to continue your course? Would you be willing to put anything, I mean something right? How important could that thing be?

See, I use this moment to ponder... If only we can work in the light of this understanding, then our goals and aspirations would be shaped better. Our contribution to life will be devoid of greed and desperation. In all of this, we would learn how to celebrate our so called ‘little victories’. Even if unknown by the entire world, we would take pride in the one single life we brought sunshine to… that little boy, girl or individual we gave a reason to smile and embrace the joy of another day.

Life means nothing devoid of impact. Friend, I encourage you to make one when you still have the opportunity to live among the ‘living’ and upon the sand of time. Your organization objectives, goals, products, services; your leadership and management style should give consideration to this paradigm.

You won’t be here forever, but your impact and the difference you make in the life of that next person(s) can live for generations. You know why? That person will tell your story…

Now, let us CELEBRATE THIS SEASON with UNDERSTANDING!
